The Sanger Branch traces its roots to a storefront in the Colony neighborhood in 1953 before relocating to the Kenwood Shopping Center in 1959, where it was enlarged twice over the following four decades. In March 2000 it moved into its current purpose-built home at 3030 W. Central Avenue, a roughly 19,127-square-foot facility on Toledo's west side. Part of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library system, Sanger holds a collection of around 76,540 items and is one of the larger neighborhood branches. Alongside books, movies, and online resources, it offers two community meeting rooms, 24-hour book returns, free wireless internet, public computers, and copying, faxing, and scanning services for the surrounding West Toledo community.
