The Odessa-Keystone area was served by bookmobile until a small storefront library opened in 1977. In 1991 philanthropist Austin Davis and Winn-Dixie Charities gave $1.1 million to build a permanent facility, and the Austin Davis Library opened in May 1993 at 17808 Wayne Road with 10,500 square feet beside Keystone Park.
