📖 About Arthenia L. Joyner University Area Community Library

Dedicated in March 2018, this $9.3 million, 15,000-square-foot library honors Arthenia Joyner, the first African-American woman lawyer in Hillsborough and Polk counties and a Florida state legislator. Built with Hillsborough County Schools, it doubles as the media center for the adjacent Muller Elementary Magnet School during school hours, and Library Journal recognized it in its 2018 Year in Architecture awards.
