📖 About TECHLink Dixon

The original Amanda E. Dixon Neighborhood Library opened in 1972 after Dixon herself championed a six-year campaign to bring a public library to the Trinity Gardens community — one of Houston's historically underserved northeast neighborhoods. When Hurricane Harvey rendered the building beyond repair, Aramco Americas funded an entirely new facility on the same Hirsch Road footprint. The result, which opened in January 2021, is HPL's first ground-up TECHLink location: a standalone creative-technology center offering a makerspace with 3-D printers and laser cutters, music and podcast recording studios, a video production suite with green screen, and digital animation and graphic design workstations — all free with a library card and requiring no prior experience.
