📖 About Tuttle Neighborhood Library

The Tuttle Neighborhood Library traces its roots to the original Denver Harbor Branch, which operated at 6402 Market Street before a new building designed by architect W. Norris Moseley was erected at 702 Kress Street in 1978. At the same time, the branch was renamed in honor of Cliff Tuttle, who began his career in banking at sixteen and spent forty years as a civic and governmental leader in the Denver Harbor community with a particular dedication to youth recreation. Today the library serves the Denver Harbor and surrounding northeast Houston neighborhoods — an area separated from the Fifth Ward by the Union Pacific Railroad tracks — and offers Family Storytime and Retro Games events within its small, community-facing footprint.
