📖 About Moody Neighborhood Library

<p>The Nettie Moody Neighborhood Library has served the Greater Northside community since 1968, occupying a modernist institutional building on Irvington Boulevard in the Northline neighborhood northeast of downtown Houston. The branch is named for Nettie Moody, an active Houston real estate investor who operated the Texas Abstract Company and was a civic leader in the area. Today the library is recognized as a key partner by the Houston Immigration Legal Services Collaborative (HILSC), hosting citizenship classes and civics workshops for English learners in a neighborhood with a large Spanish-speaking population. Weekly programs include After School Wellness Fun sessions for children and special cultural events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.</p>
