The Edgecombe County Memorial Library is the public library of Edgecombe County, North Carolina, located at 909 Main Street in Tarboro — the historic county seat on the Tar River in the Inner Coastal Plain. Tarboro's Town Common, one of the oldest public commons in North Carolina dating to 1760, and its intact antebellum streetscape reflect the deep historical character of the community the library serves.
