The Sublette County Library anchors the county seat of Pinedale, a high-plains town of roughly 2,100 residents whose official motto is 'All the Civilization You Need.' The library operates two locations — Pinedale and Big Piney (celebrating its centennial) — and belongs to the Wyoming State Library network through the shared WYLDCat catalog, giving cardholders statewide borrowing privileges. At 155 S. Tyler Avenue the Pinedale branch houses a broad print and digital collection along with the Lovatt Room, a reservable community meeting and event space used for programs from the Cookbook Club to author readings. The library is also a federally designated Passport Acceptance Facility, processing first-time and child passport applications by appointment, and a notary public is available for community document needs.
