About Martin Public Library

Martin Public Library upholds its proud tagline — "A Tradition of Information Service" — as the primary public library serving Martin and Weakley County in West Tennessee. Home of the University of Tennessee at Martin, this library-rich community benefits from outstanding facilities that go far beyond a typical public library. The building features a dedicated Computer Classroom, Demonstration Kitchen, Media Editing Room, Sound and Video Recording Studio, Genealogy Room, and Teen Zone, as well as a growing Library of Things collection that patrons can borrow alongside traditional materials.

Martin Public Library maintains a partnership with the Weakley County Historical and Genealogical Society, making it a destination for family history research throughout the region. Programming is robust and creative, including Summer Reading Programs for all ages, the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative, cooking classes, art clubs, and Virtual Volunteers opportunities.
