📖 About Old Bridge Public Library
The Old Bridge Public Library was established in 1970 to serve a rapidly growing Middlesex County township. Located inside the Old Bridge Municipal Complex at 1 Old Bridge Plaza, the library has evolved into a community hub holding more than 200,000 books, DVDs, CDs, and digital resources, circulating nearly 400,000 items per year to a population of over 65,000 residents. A satellite branch operates in Laurence Harbor. The library created the "Idea Farm" — one of the first makerspaces established in a New Jersey public library — stocking it with a MakerBot 3D printer, vinyl cutter, soldering irons, and other hands-on tools. In addition to makerspaces, the library offers passport acceptance services, free notary public for Old Bridge residents, and a regular Second Saturday Concert Series featuring local professional musicians.
