Commerce Township Community Library was officially established on February 23, 2005, when the Commerce Township Board of Trustees adopted a resolution creating a municipal library. After years in a smaller space, the library moved in January 2017 to its current 35,000-square-foot facility at Dodge Park 5, adjacent to soccer fields, wooded paths, pavilions, and Scarlet's Playground — a barrier-free, all-inclusive play area. The library belongs to The Library Network (TLN), a southeastern Michigan cooperative that gives patrons shared catalog access and delivery among dozens of member libraries. Cardholders enjoy a rich roster of digital resources including Libby, hoopla, Kanopy, Ancestry Library Edition, Consumer Reports, Mango Languages, and the Michigan eLibrary (MeL), which provides statewide eResources to all Michigan residents.
