The Brunswick-Glynn County Library is the headquarters of the Marshes of Glynn Libraries, a system serving Glynn County on Georgia's Golden Isles coast. Library services in Brunswick date to 1883, when the Brunswick Library Association organized a collection of 150 books. The library took up several homes over the decades — a Newcastle Street store, City Hall (1904–1950), and a converted grocery on Gloucester Street (1958–1975) — before moving into the current dedicated building, funded by a voter-approved bond and completed in 1975. The Marshes of Glynn Libraries was formally established as Georgia's 64th library system on July 1, 2013, joining the statewide PINES network. Today the library holds roughly 94,000 items and serves a county population of about 84,000, offering everything from the Heritage Room genealogy collection to GALILEO research databases and digital lending through Libby.
