Its Brutalist form — precast concrete panels with diagonal striations and a dramatic inverted massing — made it a landmark that later drew recognition from the World Monuments Fund Watch List and the Georgia Trust's Places in Peril. A roughly $50 million renovation completed in 2021 modernized the mechanical systems, added windows, and reorganized the interiors while retaining most of Breuer's original details. Today the building pairs that architectural pedigree with maker-oriented services including 3D printing, video editing, virtual reality, and a recording studio.
