📖 About Brentwood Public Library

Brentwood Public Library serves the city of Brentwood — a close-knit suburb of about 8,000 residents tucked between Clayton and Maplewood in St. Louis County, Missouri. It is one of nine independent community libraries that formed the Municipal Library Consortium (MLC) in 1996 to share a catalog and pooled collection now exceeding 600,000 volumes; Brentwood cardholders can borrow from any member branch. The library acts as a U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility (by appointment; suspended Aug–Oct 2026 during the move to new facilities). Its digital offerings span e-books and audiobooks through Libby, streaming video through Kanopy, language learning through Mango Languages, and premium newspaper access through the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. The library is relocating from its longtime home at 8765 Eulalie Ave. to a new, purpose-built space at 2201 S. Brentwood Blvd., scheduled to open October 13, 2026.
