📖 About Southeast Anchor Library

The Southeast Anchor Library is one of the largest neighborhood branches of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Baltimore's citywide public library system and the State Library Resource Center for Maryland. It opened on May 14, 2007, in the heart of Highlandtown, marking the first new library construction in Baltimore in more than three decades and serving the surrounding Highlandtown, Canton and Brewers Hill neighborhoods. Designed as a regional "anchor," the two-story, roughly 27,000-square-foot building holds more than 80,000 volumes, a dedicated children's area, a teen space and a landscaped reading garden.
