South Cobb Regional Library opened in May 2006 with 20,000 square feet, replacing a much smaller original Mableton branch from 1962. Almost since opening it has recorded the highest public computer use of any location in the Cobb system. A 2018 renovation added new interior colors, artwork, an updated children's area and a dedicated teen space.
