East Cobb Library's predecessor, Merchant's Walk Library, joined the Cobb system in 1979. The current branch opened on February 1, 2010 in the Parkaire Landing Shopping Center at nearly 17,000 square feet — almost double the former location — making it the largest Cobb branch at the time. It features four private study rooms, a dedicated teen area, a children's program room and a cafe/vending lobby.
