📖 About Kemp Memorial Library
Kemp Memorial Library opened on October 20, 1989, funded by a 1987 Cobb County bond issue — the same bond that financed the Switzer central library. The site was a land donation from Frances Kemp Whitlow, whose family the library honors. Its open, naturally lit floor plan and its location on Due West Road between Harrison High School and Kennesaw Mountain High School make it a popular after-school destination for west Cobb students.
