Pruitt Branch Library is a Nashville Public Library branch serving the South Nashville community from 117 Charles E. Davis Boulevard. The building itself was originally a fire hall; when it was repurposed and opened as a library in 1993, it was named for Mary and Charles W. Pruitt, both of whom represented the 58th district in the Tennessee General Assembly. The branch expanded in December 1996 with a Homework Center and grew further in 1998 to reach its current 12,210 square feet, responding to demand from nearby residents and students. Pruitt offers a World Language children's collection, a seed exchange program, and a notary service, and hosts community-oriented events including a Friday Night Game Night. The branch is managed by Raymond Kinzounza.
