📖 About Bordeaux Branch Library
A library has served the Bordeaux neighborhood of north Nashville since 1976, when the first Bordeaux Branch opened at a donated location on Clarksville Pike. In 2000, a purpose-built 20,000-square-foot facility replaced the original, dramatically expanding the branch's space, collection and technology resources. A 2015 renovation added flexible conference rooms and modernized the service desk to meet evolving community needs. Today the branch on Clarksville Pike is one of Nashville Public Library's most fully equipped locations: notary service, test proctoring, a laptop vending machine, Jobs Lab career tools, a community garden, seed exchange and Studio NPL maker space are all on site. The branch is open seven days a week, including Sunday afternoons. Recurring programs include family story time, an anime club, computer basics classes, chair yoga and photography exhibitions — reflecting the broad, multigenerational community that has relied on Bordeaux since its founding.
