📖 About Bellevue Branch Library

The Bellevue Branch Library opened in January 2015 as a new home for library service in West Nashville's Bellevue community. The building was planned around distinct zones for children, teens, and computer users, along with meeting room space for community groups. Outside, a walking path and covered reading porch extend the library into the surrounding landscape. Three Metro Arts commissions give the branch its personality: Beverly Stucker Precious's steel-and-glass sculpture "Great Beginnings," which quotes opening lines from classic books; "The Spirit of a Place," an interactive history wall assembled with the Bellevue History and Genealogy Club; and Brenda Stein's "Rise Above," a flock of nearly 90 sculpted birds inspired by the neighborhood's resilience. Together they make Bellevue one of the most art-forward branches in the Nashville Public Library system.
