The Marion-Franklin Branch serves the South Side neighborhood of the same name from a purpose-built standalone library at 2800 Lockbourne Road, which opened on October 18, 2025. It replaced the branch's first home — a roughly 4,000-square-foot "express" library opened in 2014 inside the former Beery Middle School, the first dedicated library space this community had. Built as part of Columbus Metropolitan Library's building program, the new branch more than doubled that footprint to about 10,000 square feet, giving Marion-Franklin residents room for a larger collection, children's and teen spaces, meeting and study rooms, public computers and community programming. It operates as one of the more than 20 locations in the CML system across Franklin County.
