📖 About Livingston Public Library
The Livingston Public Library has served the community since 1916 and is located in a purpose-built facility at 10 Robert H. Harp Drive in the heart of Livingston Township. As a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS), a single library card unlocks the collections of dozens of public libraries across Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties. The library is fine-free for most items and offers an unusually diverse roster of special collections: a Seed Library (borrow, grow, return), a Spice Library for seasonal cooking, world-language materials in Chinese, Indian, Korean, Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish, and an indie/self-published shelf spotlighting local authors. Its Local History Room holds the digitized West Essex Tribune (1929–2008) and Livingston High School yearbooks (1957–2022), and study rooms are available for reservation by residents.
