📖 About Camden County Library District — Camdenton Branch
The Camden County Library District (CCLD) was founded in 1933 when the Camden County Literary Guild recognized the community's need for a public library and opened the first collection in the basement of the county courthouse with just 645 books. Today, the Camdenton Branch at 89 Rodeo Road serves as the system's main location, with five additional branches spread across Camden County in Climax Springs, Macks Creek, Osage Beach, Stoutland, and Sunrise Beach. The district also extends free service to residents of Benton, Dallas, Hickory, Laclede, Miller, Morgan, and Pulaski counties. The system has grown to offer over 97,000 print, audio, and visual items and more than 116,000 digital titles — eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming movies, music, and TV. The catalog runs on Missouri Evergreen, a statewide shared ILS. The Camdenton Branch also houses a passport acceptance office.
