📖 About Lincoln Township Public Library
The library traces its roots to 1938, when the Stevensville Women's Club organized a small lending collection in the Village Fire Station. After a hiatus, those same community leaders revived the effort in 1958, borrowing materials from regional systems and cycling through temporary spaces before opening the first permanent facility in Village Square in 1966. The current building at John Beers and Roosevelt Roads was constructed in 1974, with major additions in 1982 and 2000 to keep pace with a growing community. Today the library serves Lincoln Charter, Royalton, and Baroda townships and logs over 100,000 annual visits to its 85,000-item collection. The library is proudly fine-free and offers the Michigan Activity Pass, giving cardholders discounted or free entry to more than 400 parks, museums, and cultural sites across the state.
