📖 About Garrett Memorial Library
The Garrett Memorial Library is the public library of Moulton, a small town in Appanoose County in south-central Iowa, close to the Missouri line. It was established in 1969 through a monetary gift from the late John M. Garrett, combined with matching funds raised locally and books donated by area clubs, organizations, residents and former residents — which is why it carries the Garrett name. The library has held state accreditation from the State Library of Iowa since 1999 and was the first library in Appanoose County to offer a public-access computer connected to the internet. Today it provides five public computers, free Wi-Fi, historical microfilm and a current collection of books, audiobooks and media, and it connects readers to Iowa's statewide Bridges eLibrary through the Libby app.
