The Rogers Park Branch traces its roots to 1894, when members of the Rogers Park Women's Club established a library on Clark Street, donating books from their own shelves and serving as its first volunteer librarians. More than a century later, the Chicago Public Library dedicated the current building at 6907 N. Clark Street on June 8, 1999, giving the long-running branch a modern home in the heart of one of the city's most ethnically diverse communities. Reflecting that mix, the branch maintains circulating collections in Russian and Spanish alongside large-print materials.
