The Columbia County Library serves Evans and the surrounding communities as the flagship branch of the Greater Clarks Hill Regional Library System, established in 2013 to serve Columbia, Burke, Lincoln, and Warren counties. Located in the vibrant Evans Town Center mixed-use district, the building is designed as a civic hub rather than just a book repository — it houses a 300-seat performing arts theater, multiple meeting rooms and classrooms, a Friends of the Library bookstore, and a fully equipped Makerspace. The library's collection capacity of 95,000 adult books and 58,000 children's books ranks it among the largest public library facilities in the Augusta metro area.
