📖 About West End Library — Alameda Free Library
West End Library is one of three branch locations operated by the Alameda Free Library, the public library system serving the city of Alameda on the island of the same name in San Francisco Bay. The branch sits at 788 Santa Clara Avenue in the western end of Alameda, close to the Webster Street business district and the former Naval Air Station site now developed as Alameda Point. Like the rest of the Alameda Free Library system, West End offers free library cards to all Alameda residents and is part of the Link+ consortium, giving cardholders access to millions of items from partner libraries across the Bay Area and Northern California. The branch supports Alameda's diverse community with online resources available in Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean and Arabic, and connects patrons to Alameda Reads, the city's free adult literacy program.
