📖 About Wellton Library

The Wellton Library is the Yuma County Library District branch serving the Town of Wellton and the surrounding agricultural communities along Interstate 8 in extreme western Arizona. Wellton sits at roughly 250 feet of elevation in the Gila River valley, where farm fields yield alfalfa, cotton, and citrus beneath the Gila Mountains. The branch opened in May 2008 in a purpose-built facility on San Jose Avenue and offers computers with printing, copying, and wireless printing, plus a dedicated meeting room available for public use. It belongs to the same district that operates the main downtown library and the Foothills, Heritage, and Somerton branches throughout Yuma County, so a single library card opens the full shared collection of books, DVDs, and e-resources. The Yuma County Library District also participates in Reading Arizona, giving every cardholder free access to Arizona-themed eBooks and audiobooks.
