Temple Terrace Public Library
Founded in 1960 by the Temple Terrace Woman's Club, the Temple Terrace Public Library has grown from a golf-course caddy house into a community hub serving 250,000 patrons a year. The current 202 Bullard Parkway facility — expanded twice since 1966 — offers free notary services, 3D printing, a one-of-a-kind seed library, and a Beyond Books lending collection of kitchen appliances and sewing machines.

📖 About Temple Terrace Public Library
The Temple Terrace Public Library opened on January 15, 1960, born of a grassroots effort by the Temple Terrace Woman's Club. Its first home was a caddy house on the city's municipal golf course — a space quickly outgrown within a year, prompting a move to City Hall in 1961. The permanent building at 202 Bullard Parkway opened in 1966 and was expanded significantly in 1978 and again in 1998. In February 1982 arson destroyed approximately 11,666 books; the library reopened in temporary quarters within six weeks and returned to Bullard Parkway by February 1983. Today the collection exceeds 100,000 volumes and the library serves roughly 250,000 patrons annually as a member of the Hillsborough County Library Cooperative. Unique among Hillsborough branches, it maintains one of the county's only seed libraries, a full 3D printing station, and an extensive Beyond Books lending program.
