📖 About Parsippany Library
The Parsippany Library (officially Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library) serves New Jersey's largest township by population through three branches rooted in long community history. The Lake Hiawatha branch was established in 1937 and has operated from its present building since 1968. The Mount Tabor branch has been on its present site since 1889, making it the oldest of the three. The main library relocated to a state-of-the-art 38,000-square-foot facility at 449 Halsey Road in 2006. In addition to its extensive physical collections, the library is certified by the U.S. State Department to accept passport applications, with appointments available via parsippanylibrary.youcanbook.me and passport photo services on site for $15. Notary services, museum passes, creative services (poster printer, silhouette machine, laminator), a seed library, puzzle exchange, and ESL instruction round out an unusually broad set of programs. The library is open Sunday afternoons from the week after Labor Day through the week before Memorial Day (seasonal).
