Holladay Library is a branch of Salt Lake County Library (known countywide as The County Library), serving the city of Holladay in the foothills of the Wasatch Front just southeast of Salt Lake City. Holladay is historically significant as the first village established away from Salt Lake City itself — pioneer John Holladay led settlers to a spring-fed stream here in 1847, making it the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Utah. The city was incorporated in November 1999, though the library had long served this tight-knit residential community before incorporation.
