Prairie Creek Branch Library is one of two Dallas Public Library branches serving the Pleasant Grove area of southeast Dallas, located at 9609 Lake June Road just east of its sister branch. The building opened on November 13, 2010, and was designed to meet the needs of a primarily Latino community: the branch offers GED instruction in Spanish (GED en Espanol) and Bilingual Storytime, making it an important education and literacy resource for families with limited English. Notary services are available at the branch, a practical community resource for neighborhood residents. Prairie Creek also participates in the Dallas Public Seed Library, lending heirloom and open-pollinated seeds.
