📖 About Rockport Branch — Cleveland Public Library
The Rockport Branch of the Cleveland Public Library has served the Bellaire-Puritas neighborhood on Cleveland's west side since 1964, when Hargett-Hoag Associates designed the original 9,200-square-foot building of brick and stone with a steel structure and large front window. After six decades, the branch was completely rebuilt: the reimagined Rockport campus opened on June 22, 2024. CBLH Design created the new 11,185-square-foot building, which features four meeting rooms and a distinctive living plant wall. The branch also hosts the Teen Tech Center, which opened in fall 2018 with a special project grant to complement CPL's focus on digital literacy, hands-on learning, STEM education, and civic engagement. Teens can explore programming, film-making, music production, and design at the Tech Center. The campus offers DVD and book borrowing, free Wi-Fi, public computers with internet access, and printing, copying, scanning, and faxing services. Bus routes 78 and 83 (northbound) stop in front of the campus; route 83 (southbound) stops across the street. Ample free parking and green space are available on site.
