The Scotch Plains Public Library serves the Township of Scotch Plains in Union County, New Jersey. The library is a member of the Libraries of Union County Consortium (LUCC), whose 20 public libraries share a common catalog, and of MURAL (Middlesex Union Reciprocal Associated Libraries), giving cardholders reciprocal borrowing rights across both Union and Middlesex counties.
