📖 About Coffeeville Public Library
The Coffeeville Public Library is the administrative headquarters of the two-branch Yalobusha County Public Library System, located at 14432 Main Street in Coffeeville — one of two county seats of Yalobusha County, whose name derives from a Native American word meaning 'tadpole place.' The system also operates the Oakland Public Library in Oakland, MS. The Coffeeville branch is the county's primary resource for books, children's programming, public Wi-Fi and free internet access. Mississippi cardholders benefit from MAGNOLIA — the Mississippi Alliance for Gaining New Opportunities Through Library Information Access — a statewide database consortium first funded by the Legislature in 1997 that was the first program of its kind to provide online database access to an entire state. The library also offers hoopla for streaming and downloading movies, music, audiobooks and comics, with age-based parental controls in place for patrons under 18.
