Hamburg Township Library has served Livingston County's Hamburg Township since 1966, when it began in a corner of the township office building. The community's commitment to the library was immediate and tangible: local firemen and neighbors donated labor and materials to construct a dedicated building on land given by the Les Belcher family, and a Charles Davis wing was added in 1975. Today the library circulates more than 104,000 items annually to a township population of over 21,000. As a member of The Library Network (TLN), it shares resources with dozens of southeast Michigan libraries and provides full MeL and MeLCat interlibrary loan access to statewide collections.
