The Kapolei Public Library is a branch of the Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS), the only statewide public library system in the United States. It opened in August 2004 on land placed in trust with the state by the Campbell Estate, capping a two-year delay while the state secured operating funds for the finished $6.9 million building.
