❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Lilburn Branch share a building with City Hall?
The 2016 building was the first joint library-municipality facility in Gwinnett County. The county and the City of Lilburn shared construction costs so both a modern library and a new city hall could be built in one LEED-certified structure.
How large is the Lilburn Branch compared with the old location?
The current library occupies 18,864 square feet — roughly double the former branch on Hillcrest Road, which was one of the oldest and smallest in the GCPL system.
Does the Lilburn Branch offer programs in languages other than English?
Yes. The branch offers multilingual literacy instruction including English-language learning, high-school-equivalency prep and citizenship preparation, delivered both in person and online.
