The Northeast Neighborhood Library, at 330 7th Street NE, has served the upper North Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C. since 1932 — making it one of the older standing DCPL branches in continuous operation. Situated just minutes from Union Station, the library is known for its cozy interior with vintage design elements and an outdoor garden space that patrons use for reading and community gatherings. The branch is open until 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and until 8 p.m. on Thursday (with a noon start), with Friday–Saturday hours of 10 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.–5 p.m. It provides public computers, printing and scanning, free Wi-Fi, meeting and study rooms, and a full set of DCPL assistive technology.
