Rosedale Neighborhood Library
Opened in 2012 and co-located with the Rosedale Community Center in the Kingman Park neighborhood of NE Washington, the Rosedale Neighborhood Library brings computer access, computer classes, public Wi-Fi and a full DCPL collection to a historically underserved corridor between Capitol Hill and the Benning Road corridor. DC Public Library has begun planning a new full-service library to replace the current facility.

📖 About Rosedale Neighborhood Library
The Rosedale Neighborhood Library opened in 2012 at 1701 Gales Street NE, making it one of the newer DCPL branch locations. It is co-located inside the Rosedale Community Center in the Kingman Park neighborhood — an arrangement that lets residents pair library visits with recreation and community programs in the same facility. The branch offers public computers, computer classes, printing, scanning and free Wi-Fi, along with borrowing materials and DCPL's full digital collection. Assistive technology available on-site includes a CCTV/magnifier, JAWS/ZoomText, large-print keyboards, Pocketalker and Ubiduo. The branch also hosts voter registration and a mail-in ballot drop box, and participates in the DC Talking Book & Braille Program. A parking lot is on-site. In May 2024, DC Public Library announced it is beginning site inventory for the construction of a new full-service library to replace the current Rosedale facility, signaling long-term investment in this community.
