📖 About Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library
Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library operates out of its downtown main branch at 300 West Aspen Avenue and the East Flagstaff Community Library at 3000 N. Fourth Street, together covering Coconino County — the second-largest county by area in the contiguous United States. The library traces its roots to the 1890s when the Riordan brothers established the first reading room in Flagstaff during the city's booming lumber era. Today it runs three community spaces for reservations, an active Teen Zone with gaming and a dedicated Teen Zone, and outreach through the PALSMobile (Preschoolers Acquiring Literacy Skills) program that brings early-literacy programming to neighborhoods across the county. The Copper Quill Award, presented annually by the library, recognizes outstanding local Arizona authors and ties the institution to Flagstaff's thriving literary community.
