📖 About Tarrant Public Library
Tarrant Public Library has served the city of Tarrant on Ford Avenue for decades, providing residents with free access to books, digital resources, and community computing. The library is a member of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative, which has connected public libraries across the county under a single shared card since 1997. Library cards are free for all Jefferson County residents — patrons from outside the county may obtain a card for an annual fee. Cardholders can check out up to 150 items at a time, and books circulate for three weeks with up to two automatic renewals. Free cards are available to all Jefferson County residents with proof of residency. If you live outside Jefferson County, you can still get a card for a $50 annual fee. Cards expire every two years and are renewable for free with proof of current identity and address.
