📖 About Odenville Public Library
Odenville Public Library opened in 1960 to serve what was then a small rural community of fewer than 200 residents in St. Clair County. As Odenville grew from 1,131 people in 2000 to nearly 6,000 by 2025, the library expanded its digital offerings to match — today providing the full Alabama Virtual Library suite, Ancestry Library Edition for genealogy, and the Chilton automotive repair database alongside its print collection. The library shares its Alabama Street block with the adjacent Fortson Museum & Archives, making the site a dual hub for local history and current learning. Staffed by a dedicated municipal team and supported by the Alabama Public Library Service (APLS), it offers free public computer access and a free library card to every resident.
