The Westgate Branch Library is one of three locations in the Dothan Houston County Library System (DHCLS), serving Houston County residents from its home at 535 Recreation Road inside Westgate Park. The branch opened in 2014 as part of a major modernization initiative that included a new 23,000-square-foot main library, replacing older facilities and bringing library services closer to west-side Dothan neighborhoods. Cardholders enjoy access to 12 public computers, two study rooms (by card), one community room (by reservation), free Wi-Fi on the DHCLS-Public-BYOD network, and copying, printing, and faxing services. A public notary is available on site — a rare convenience among branch libraries.
