📖 About Cardington-Lincoln Public Library

The Cardington-Lincoln Public Library serves Cardington, Fulton and surrounding areas of Morrow County, Ohio. Community residents have supported a reading room here since 1830, when Slocum Bunker served as the first librarian in the Resley House on Main Street. In about 1896, prominent local women formally established a library in a room over the Independent Office on South Marion Street. The library moved to its present East Main Street location in 1947, acquiring the building from Howard and Eva Conaway. An addition donated by Arthur and Martha Kinsell was built in 1979, and when a tornado heavily damaged the structure in 1981 it was rebuilt. The library is a member of the Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL), whose shared catalog gives cardholders access to the full COOL network. Digital services include the Ohio Digital Library through Libby and hoopla, and the library provides notary services, home-delivery outreach for homebound patrons, and printing, faxing and scanning in addition to its circulating collection.
