📖 About London Public Library
London Public Library opened its doors in January 1905, brought to life by community members who wanted a free public reading room for the residents of London and Madison County. Over more than 120 years it has grown from a modest collection into a full-service community library holding more than 51,000 items and serving more than 16,000 local residents. The library provides adult, teen, and children's collections in print and digital formats, meeting room space, public computers, free Wi-Fi, and a robust digital library through the Central Library Consortium (CLC). London joined the CLC — a cooperative of 18 public library systems in Central Ohio — in early 2014, giving cardholders access to a shared Polaris catalog and cooperative purchasing of databases. Programs range from story times and the Kindergarten Club to adult book clubs, the Yarnies crafting group, and the Teen Advisory Board.
