📖 About Wahiawā Public Library
The original Wahiawā Public Library, opened in 1965, closed on May 3, 2025 after 60 years so its site could be redeveloped into the $42.5 million Wahiawā Center for Workforce Excellence. To keep library service available during construction, HSPLS opened a temporary pop-up library in the Wahiawā Shopping Center (near Foodland and Goodwill) offering books, seating, public computers, Wi-Fi and children's programming. State Librarian Stacey Aldrich has said the pop-up will stay open as long as possible before the community moves into the new building.
