McCully-Mōʻiliʻili Public Library opened on November 22, 1969, in a two-story building designed by architect Robert Matsushita. After more than fifty years of service, the branch closed for a $2 million state-funded renovation and reopened on June 3, 2022, with a new circulation desk, an enhanced interactive children's area, a refreshed lobby, and upgraded lighting and meeting spaces. Reflecting the neighborhood's diversity, its second floor houses the Korean Library Foundation, which maintains the largest Korean-language collection in the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System.
